On 16–17 May, implantologists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland visited the CeramTec production site in Spreitenbach (Switzerland) and took part in the sixth edition of the ‘Zeramex Meet & Learn’ training series.

A highlight of the event was the lecture by Dr. Thomas Franke, a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery and proprietor of the Private Medical Centre for Biological Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry in Berlin. In his lecture, Dr. Franke presented his immediate-implantation protocol, discussed several clinical Zeramex XT cases with colleagues, and reported on key aspects of his comparative study, which he is currently conducting in collaboration with the Charité University Berlin. An especially exciting chapter of his presentation focused on senescent cells and their influence on inflammation.

Participants were also able to complete hands-on training and take part in a guided production tour.

“The dialogue with our users is particularly important to us. The event format is very popular with participants and offers scope for lively discussions in which everyone can contribute their knowledge and experience. We are very pleased with the consistently positive feedback,” says Dr Ina Wüstefeld, Managing Director of CeramTec Switzerland.
