CeramTec reorganises its dental business
The dental business plays a special role in the growth of the CeramTec medical technology platform. “We therefore intend to further expand our dental business in the coming years and are adapting our production and sales structures to the needs of the market,” says Dr. Hadi Saleh, CEO and President Medical of the CeramTec Group.
At the company's site in Lauf an der Pegnitz, the production capacities for ceramic dental implant components will be further expanded in order to significantly increase the volume in the future while ensuring the usual high quality. “We are delighted that the demand for ceramic implants is growing. We will continue to invest in order to meet this demand in the long term,” says Dr. Saleh.
From July 2025, we will focus our sales efforts on original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), white-label customers, and Zeramex® distributors. As a result, CeramTec will be discontinuing its direct sales operations for ceramic dental implants. “We want to concentrate on the key sales area of our dental business,” says Dr. Saleh. “We are confident that by focusing on the B2B business and expanding production capacity in Lauf, we will be able to respond even more quickly to our dental customers' needs in the future.”
With the expansion of dental production in Lauf, CeramTec is further strengthening its medical technology footprint in Germany. A new extension for medical technology is already under construction in Marktredwitz, Upper Franconia. From 2026, additional components for ceramic joint replacements will be manufactured there.
