Zeramex Docklocs® maintain retentive force and surface characteristics after 15 years

In a recently published study by Mangkorn et al. (2025) titled “Brushing effect on retentive force and surface roughness of three overdenture attachment patrices”, the effects of up to 150,000 stimulated brushing cycles on on the retentive force and surface roughness of three types of implant-supported overdenture attachment systems, including Zeramex Docklocs®, were examined.

The results showed that the patrices of the Zeramex Docklocs® overdenture attachment system could provide retentive force and surface characteristics even after simulated brushing of up to 150,000 cycles, which corresponds to approximately 15 years of clinical use. The results highlight the robustness and durability of the system, making it a relevant metal-free option for edentulous patients.

Further information on the Zeramex Docklocs® overdenture attachment system is available here.
