What are the indications for the Zeramex XT implant system?
The Zeramex XT implant system is intended for surgical insertion into the bone of the upper and lower jaw to support prosthetic devices, such as artificial teeth, thereby restoring aesthetics and chewing function. Zeramex XT implants are intended for delayed loading and can be used for single or multiple restorations. Zeramex XT implants are also specifically indicated for patients with metal intolerances and chronic diseases caused by metal intolerances.
Are there any contraindications for using the Zeramex XT implant system?
Zeramex XT SB implants (Small Base, 3.5 mm) may only be used in the anterior region of the mandible and for lateral incisors in the maxilla. Exception: restorations on Docklocs® abutments.
What are the indications for Zeramex XT SB 3.5 mm?
Indications for Zeramex XT SB 3.5 mm are as follows:
- Lateral incisors in the upper jaw
- Front teeth in the lower jaw
- Entirely with Docklocs® for removable dentures for 4 implants in the lower jaw and 6 implants in the upper jaw
Are there any contraindications for patients?
Implantation is contraindicated in patients with the following conditions:
- Patients who are medically unsuitable for oral surgery
- Poor bone quality, i.e. if stable implant seating (primary stability) cannot be guaranteed
- Incomplete bone growth
- Acute or chronic infectious diseases
- Subacute chronic osteitis of the jaw
- Conditions that lead to microvascular impairment
- Systemic diseases
- Poor general health of the patient
- Any type of substance abuse
- Poor oral hygiene and poorly motivated, uncooperative patients
- At-risk patient groups (e.g. breastfeeding women)
Note: Please observe the general contraindications that apply in the field of medical implants. Periodontal problems require appropriate treatment prior to implantation.
