History
As a member of the globally operating CeramTec Group, the company looks back on a 20-year history. Since its foundation in 2005, the company has specialised in the development, manufacture and distribution of two-piece ceramic implants. The introduction of the first implant system made of high-performance ceramic ZERAMEX® Classic in 2009 marked the beginning of continuous product development, which culminated in the evolution of five system generations. In 2017, the company introduced ZERAMEX® XT, the fifth generation of the implant system, and entered into a strategic partnership with Nobel Biocare. The takeover by the CeramTec Group in 2021 strengthened the company's international orientation. Since then, further partnerships have followed, including with SIC Invent (2022), BioHorizons and Camlog (2025). Following its renaming to CeramTec Schweiz GmbH in 2024, the company has become an integral part of CeramTec’s global network.
